Give 100 %

A boy and a girl were playing together.
The boy had a collection of marbles.
The girl had some sweets with her.
The boy told the girl that he will give her
all his marbles in exchange for her sweets.
The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful
marble aside and gave the rest to the girl.
The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully.
But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if
the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he
had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story:

If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship,
you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given
his/her hundred percent.

This is applicable for any relationship like
love, employer-employee relationship etc.,

Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully

Thank you Vasanth :)

The Ladder Of Success..!!

10 friends lived together on top of a 100-storied building. Once when they returned after an outing, they found, to their dismay that the lift was not working. Having no alternative, they decided to lighten the arduous climb by narrating a humorous story each. By the time it was the turn of the last person, they had almost reached the top floor. The tenth person said, "I am sorry, but my story is really tragic. Hearing it, will break your hearts to pieces. It’s only a one-line story though - I have forgotten the key downstairs!"

Right from our early childhood, it’s drilled into us that the way to becoming happy is to make it big in life. And accordingly, we roll back our sleeves and get down to work. Slowly, painfully we struggle up the ladder of material success. School, SSC, HSC, Engg/Medical, MBA/MS, Project Leader, Manager, Managing Director, CEO... The dream career growth chart. Assuming that one succeeds (a big assumption), what next?

Just take a look at the life of any of the supposedly successful people around you. Big money, big cars, big houses. And big enemies, big underworld dons, big tensions, big terrors! But wasn't happiness their goal when they started off? What went wrong?

This is a story which we all can relate to, isn't it?

Just as the ten friends forgot about the key while hearing anecdotes, the modern man also forgets the goal of happiness while working hard for achieving his goals. He gets so caught up in the struggle for success (or at least survival) that he forgets that he is not getting any happiness. And it goes on till the 100th floor: death. "I forgot the key to happiness. I foamed and fumed in vain." But by then, it’s too late.

Let’s look at our own lives. Till whatever rung we have climbed on "The ladder of success", have we become happy? No matter how much we achieve, happiness eludes us. "Its just one step away", but that's the way it always stays, no matter how many steps we take. But an intelligent person will think, "Just a minute, what am I running after?"

Think about your true well being. Get serious, before it gets too late

MIND MAKES ONE SICK AND ALSO HEAL

******
(Feed 1million children every day)

One evening, a man was invited to the home of a friend. As he was
about to drink a cup of tea that was offered to him, he thought he
saw a baby snake in the cup. He did not want to embarrass his
hostess. So, he gathered his courage and swallowed the tea in
one gulp.

When the man returned home later that night, he began
to feel severe pains in his stomach. By the next day, the pains
had grown worse. He consulted several doctors and tried many
cures but none worked. The man who was then seriously
ill thought he was about to die.

Hearing of his condition, his friend invited him to visit her
again.Sitting in the same place, he accepted another cup of tea.
As the sick man lifted his cup to drink, he suddenly saw the
snake again. This time he decided to speak up and draw his
hostess’s attention to it. Without a word, she pointed to
the ceiling above her guest.

He looked up. There, just above him, hanging from a beam,
was a length of rope. The sick man realized all at once that
what he had thought was a baby snake was simply
the reflection of a rope. The two friends looked at each other
and laughed. The pain of the sick man vanished instantly
and he recovered perfect health.

Think differently and positively..!!

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way." What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it."
Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?
Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

:Moral of the Story:

Be thankful for what you have.

Be creative.

Be innovative.

Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.
Great men say, "Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness…. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience."

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling… And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

Attitudes of Successful Learners..!!

Successful Learners :

1. "I can"

This is the most basic of all attitudes. We simply must choose to believe that we can learn. In our house we are not allowed to say, "I can't." We can say, "I'll try," or "I tried and failed," but not "I can't."

Telling yourself that you can't will in effect make it so. But telling yourself that you can, will in effect enable you to learn much more. Even if you actually only achieve 50% of what you tell yourself, you will achieve at least that much more than if you told yourself you couldn't.

So many people were told at a young age that they couldn't learn. Many others were allowed to engage in that kind of negative self talk (tell themselves, "I can't learn", "I don't understand", I'll never get this", etc.) and their parents and teachers didn't intervene. This enabled them to develop the "I can't" attitudes that become self-fulfilling prophecies.

I actually have a standard way of going about getting myself off of the starting block. I simply say if somebody else has achieved great learning heights, then I can too. I have to be smarter than at least one of those who has already done it.

I have to be able to work harder than at least one other. There has to be at least one other person who has come from more difficult circumstances than me. And if they can do it then certainly, "I can!"

2. "This is a long-term approach"

Learning isn't something that happens overnight. Yes, you can learn individual facts, but the real growth comes when you see your learning build on itself and compound for years, when your knowledge meets up with your experience.

When we take the attitude that it all has to happen immediately, we hurt ourselves in the long run because the fact is that it takes time to learn (even though we can accelerate it). If we expect it to happen immediately and it doesn't, then we can get frustrated and stop learning altogether.

Instead, we need to take a long-term view just as we do in financial matters, weight management, leadership, etc. Long-term thinking, including our learning is always the best way to go for success.

3. "Learning is valuable"

Some people have a "learning schmearning - who needs learning" attitude. They think that learning is overrated. I hate to tell you this, but not only was that wrong 5000, 500 and 50 years ago, it is especially wrong today.

We live in the information age. We must gain knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge if we are going to be successful. We must tell ourselves and cultivate the attitude that learning is valuable and that it will affect our lives.

4. "I will make a difference in the lives of those around me"

People who soar are generally people who have the attitude of helping other people. Yes, they may do it for monetary gain, but they are others-focused. They want to change the way people live and experience life for the better.

They are difference makers all around. This is the same in what we learn. We learn first for ourselves, but then with the goal of taking what we have learned, and what we make of ourselves, and we then help others to do the same

Where To Make An Effort..!!

A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after
another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine.
Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he
was a young.

He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he
immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully,
top to bottom. Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this
man, hoping he would know what to do.

After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and
pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly,
the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away.
The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten
thousand dollars."What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did
anything!"So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send
us an itemized bill."The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer...... ......... ........ $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap.......... ......... ...... $ 9,998.00

Life-Small Stuff -Cup of Cofee..!!

Golf balls , Pebbles , Sand , Coffee
in mayonnaise jar
__________________________

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and
proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar.

He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open
areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full.

The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from
under the table and poured the entire contents into
the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the
sand.

The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided,
“I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life”.

"The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full”.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.

"The sand is everything else--the small stuff.

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued,
"there is no roomfor the pebbles or the golf balls.

"The same goes for life.

"If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

“Play with your children.

"Take time to get medical checkups.

"Take your partner out to dinner.

"There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter.

"Set your priorities.

"The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what
the coffee
represented.

The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

"It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life
may seem, there’s always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."

Share this with someone you care about.

Stop Worrying & Start Living..!!

Life = Risk

Small Risk to kick off worry in you...!!
Just Divert the fear from you to a thing and throw it away..!!

Risk makes you expertised in handling each event
in your life and makes you Live In Every Moment

Fundamental facts you should know about worry

  1. If you want to avoid worry, do what Sir William Osler did: Live in "day-tight compartments. " Don't stew about the futures. Just live each day u ntil bedtime.
  2. The next time Trouble--with a Capital T--backs you up in a corner, try the magic formula of Willis H. Carrier:
    1. Ask yourself, "What is the worst that can possibly happen if I can't solve my problem?
    2. Prepare yourself mentally to accept the worst--if necessary.
    3. Then calmly try to improve upon the worst--which you have already mentally agreed to accept.
  3. Remind yourself of the exorbitant price you can pay for worry in terms of your health. "Those who do not know how to fight worry die young."

Basic techniques in analyzing worry

  1. Get the facts. Remember that Dean Hawkes of columbia university said that "half the worry in the world is caused by people trying to make decisions before they have sufficient knowledge on which to base a decision."
  2. After carefully weighing all the facts, come to a decision.
  3. Once a decision is carefully reached, act! Get busy carrying out your decision--and dismiss all anxiety about the outcome.
  4. When you, or any of your associates, are tempted to worry about a problem, write out and answer the following questions:
    1. What is the problem?
    2. What is the cause of the problem?
    3. What are all possible solutions?
    4. What is the best solution?

How to break the worry habit before it breaks you

  1. Crowd worry out of your mind by keeping busy. Plenty of action is one of the best therapies ever devised for curing "wibber gibbers."
  2. Don't fuss about trifles. Don't permit little things--the mere termites of life--to ruin your happines.
  3. Use the law of averages to outlaw your worries. Ask yourself: "What are the odds against this thing's happening at all?"
  4. Co-operate with the inevitable. If you know a circumstance is beyond your power to change or revise, say to yourself: "It is so; it cannot be otherwise."
  5. Put a "stop-less" order on your worries. Decide just how much anxiety a thing may be worth--and refuse to give it anymore.
  6. Let the past bury its dead. Don't saw sawdust.

Seven ways to cultivate a mental attitude that will bring you peace and happiness

  1. Let's fill our minds with thoughts of peace, courage, health, and hope, for "our life is what our thoughts make it."
  2. Let's never try to get even with our enemies, because if we do we will hurt ourselves far more than we hurt them. Let's do as General Eisenhower does: let's never waste a minute thinking about people we don't like.
    1. Instead of worrying about ingratitude, let's expect it.
    2. Let's remember that the only way to find happiness is not to expect gratitude--but to give for the joy of giving.
    3. Let's remember that gratitude is a "cultivated" trait; so if we want our children to be grateful, we must train them to be grateful.
  3. Count your blessings--not your troubles!
  4. Let's not imitate others. Let's find ourselves and be ourselves, for "envy is ignorance" and "imitation is suicide."
  5. When fate hands us a lemon, let's try to make a lemonade.
  6. Let's forget our own unhappiness- -by trying to create a little happiness for others. "When you are good to others, you are best to yourself."

The perfect way to conquer worry

  1. Prayer 2. Silence (Which makes your mind analyze)

How to keep from worrying about criticism

  1. Unjust criticism is often a disguised compliment. It often means that you have aroused jealousy and envy. Remember that no one ever kicks a dead dog.
  2. Do the very best you can; and then put up your old umbrella and keep the rain of criticism from running down the back of your neck.
  3. Let's keep a record of the fool things we have done and criticize ourselves. Since we can't hope to be perfect, let's do what E.H. Little did: let's ask for unbiased, helpful, constructive criticism.

Six ways to prevent fatigue and worry and keep your energy and spirits high

  1. Rest before you get tired.
  2. Learn to relax at your work.
  3. Learn to relax at home.
  4. Apply these four good workings habits:
    1. Clear your desk of all papers except those relating to the immediate problem at hand.
    2. Do things in the order of their importance.
    3. When you face a problem, solve it then and there if you have the facts to make a decision.
    4. Learn to organize, deputize, and supervise.
  5. To prevent worry and fatigue, put enthusiasm into your work.
  6. Remember, no one was ever killed by lack of sleep. It is worrying about insomnia that does the damage--not the insomnia.

DWD - Dealing With Depression ??

Dear Friends,

The dictionary describes depression as a condition of general emotional dejection and withdrawal, sadness greater and more prolonged than that warranted by any objective reason.

The question here is
why does one get depressed? Is it the inability to cope with the situation or the high stress levels that come with success or failure?

Life is full of twists and turns, some pleasant others not so pleasant or at times dreadful.
No one is devoid of problems in their lives. Everyone has their own personal set of problems.

Even the people who have a smile constantly on their face have problems. The only difference is they know how to tackle the problems of their life and smile about the fact that they can overcome those problems, similar to Mother Nature.

Seasonal changes are the main reason for depression in nature. Change is inevitable, be it in nature or in our life, but what are the changes is subjective. They may differ person to person, and so will the approach towards them.

Getting into depression is a normal phenomenon, but letting it over take us completely is not the best thing. There are no specific rules or a concepts to deal with it, whatever way one feels is the best way, one should adopt to tackle it.

Here are some really easy ways to tackle this "blown out of proportion problem".

  1. Lead your life on the basis of fundamental values of what is right and what's wrong.
  2. Avoid hurting others and yourself too.
  3. It's easier to change and adapt ourselves to new circumstances, than to expect vice a versa.
  4. Don't make any decisions when angry or sad.
  5. Fight it. If you can't, then get help.
  6. Enjoy nature; it's free.
  7. Spend time with our own self to introspect and retrospect daily.
  8. Yell, scream or punch the bag if you feel like doing it.
  9. Be joyful genuinely, and not just put up the mask of happiness.
  10. Last, but not the least, do not underestimate the power of Prayers.

Think Before Act

The train has started moving. It is packed with people of all ages,

mostly with the working men and women and young college guys and
gals. Near the window, seated a old man with his 30 year old son. As
the train moves by, the son is overwhelmed with joy as he was thrilled
with the scenery outside..

" See dad, the scenery of green trees moving away is very
beautiful"

This behavior from a thirty year old son made the other people feel
strange about him. Every one started murmuring something or other
about this son.

"This guy seems to be a krack.." newly married Anup whispered to his
wife.

Suddenly it started raining... Rain drops fell on the travelers through the
opened window. The Thirty year old son , filled with joy "

see dad, how beautiful the rain is .."

Anup's wife got irritated with the rain drops spoiling her new suit.

Anup ," cant you see its raining, you old man, if ur son is not feeling
well get him soon to a mental asylum..and dont disturb public
henceforth"

The old man hesitated first and then in a low tone replied " we are
on the way back from hospital, my son got discharged today morning,
he was a blind by birth, last week only he got his vision, these
rain and nature are new to his eyes
.

Please forgive us for the inconvenience caused..."

The things we see may be right from our perspective until
we know the truth. But when we know the truth our reaction
to that will hurt even us. So try to understand the problem
better before taking a harsh action.

It Is You

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big notice on the door on which it was written:

“Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth
in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral
in the room that has been prepared in the gym”.

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know, who was that man who hindered their growth of his colleagues and the company itself.

The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room.

The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up.

Everyone thought: “Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!”

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it, they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself.

There was also a sign next to the mirror that said:

“There is only one person, who is capable to set limits to your growth:

IT IS YOU.

You are the ONLY person who can revolutionize your life.

You are the only person, who can influence your happiness,
your realization and your success.

You are the ONLY person who can help YOURSELF.

Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes. Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limited beliefs, when you realize that you are the ONLY one responsible for your life.

THE MOST IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIP YOU CAN HAVE IS THE ONE YOU HAVE WITH YOURSELF! ”.

Examine yourself. Watch yourself. Don’t be afraid of difficulties, impossibilities and losses: Be a WINNER, Build Yourself and Your Reality.

The world is like a Mirror. It gives back to anyone the reflection of the thoughts in which one has strongly believed.

The world and your reality are like mirrors lying in a coffin, which show to any individual the death of his divine capability to imagine and create his happiness and his success.

It’s the way you face Life that makes the difference.

Give 2 Every Day

Give 2 Every Day

There will always be a reason to give up, and

There will always be a reason to keep going.

The question is, which reason will you choose to focus upon?

Your troubles will get the best of you,

If you give all your time and attention to them.

But you always have another choice.

You can give your attention to the positive possibilities.

You can choose to focus upon what's right with life.

There is something you can do in this very moment

to create a little bit of positive value in your world.

Though it may not seem like much, just one small positive action

can have an enormous impact.

Even the smallest step has a clear and unmistakable direction.

When you choose to take action, you choose to take control.

Don't allow your life to be defined by the difficulties that come your way.

For beyond them all,

You have Something Unique and Beautiful to Give 2 Every Day.

Shark In Your Tank

Japanese Startergy ..Shark In Your Tank!!

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have
not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats
got bigger and went farther than ever.

The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish.
If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh.
The Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their
boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers
allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer.

However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and
frozen and they did not like frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a
lower price.

So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and
stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around,
the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive.

Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because
the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste. The
Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.

So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they
get fresh-tasting fish to Japan?

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies (still)
put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank.
The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively
state.

Like the Japanese fish - "Man thrives, oddly enough, only in the
presence of a challenging environment."- L. Ron Hubbard

Challenges are what keep us FRESH!

Instead of avoiding challenges, jump into them. Beat the heck out of
them.

Enjoy the game. If your challenges are too large or too numerous,
reorganize the challenge, team up, be resourceful and do not give up.

Failing makes you tired.

If you have met your goals, set some bigger goals. Once you meet your
personal or family needs, move onto goals for your group, the society,
even mankind.

Don't create success and lie in it. You have resources, skills and
abilities to make a difference.

Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go !!
