The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to
not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats
got bigger and went farther than ever.
The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish.
If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh.
The Japanese did not like the taste.
To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their
boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers
allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer.
However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and
frozen and they did not like frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a
lower price.
So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and
stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around,
the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive.
Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because
the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste. The
Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.
So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they
get fresh-tasting fish to
To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies (still)
put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank.
The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively
state.
Like the Japanese fish - "Man thrives, oddly enough, only in the
presence of a challenging environment."- L. Ron Hubbard
Challenges are what keep us FRESH!
Instead of avoiding challenges, jump into them. Beat the heck out of
them.
Enjoy the game. If your challenges are too large or too numerous,
reorganize the challenge, team up, be resourceful and do not give up.
Failing makes you tired.
If you have met your goals, set some bigger goals. Once you meet your
personal or family needs, move onto goals for your group, the society,
even mankind.
Don't create success and lie in it. You have resources, skills and
abilities to make a difference.
Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go !!

Understanding that we are united in a common goal of peace on earth is the beginning of establishing a new era of peace. The next step is to work together for peace.
A balance of Four paths to peace..!!
There are 4 paths that people for peace must follow to bring peace on earth. Two of these are the ways of the peacemakers and two are the ways of the peaceworkers. Each of the four paths is important in the lives of every one of us. But each of us will find the right balance of the four paths of peace for our lives.
We must all be peacemakers..!!
For there to be peace, we must all be peacemakers. Peacemaking is a way of life, a way of thinking that is integrated into our daily lives. It is striving to use every interaction as a chance to spread peace and build bonds of friendship and community, no matter where we are or what we are doing.
Peace of mind is the key..!!
To be effective peacemakers we must have peace of mind. We can only help make our lives and our world more peaceful, when we ourselves feel peace. And so the second path of the peacemaker is to seek and maintain inner peace.
We must also work for peace..!!
We must also be peaceworkers -- actively working for peace, in order for peace on earth to come in our time. Some will choose to submerge their lives in working for peace and compassion. But for most of us there are little things that we can do in our daily lives as peaceworkers. Every act that shares peace and compassion is important as we move forward together. THERE ARE NO SMALL ACTS OF COMPASSION. Every victory for peace brings us all closer to peace on earth.
Spread peace & compassion..!!
The two paths of the peaceworker are to do good works to help ease human suffering and build new bridges of peace and understanding; and to spread the message that peace is important, so that it will become part of the values and goals of society.
Peacemaking is a way of life..!!
Each of the four paths of peace is important. All must be walked upon to bring peace on earth. All become part of our lives when we choose a life of peace.

It can live up to 70 years But to reach this age,
the eagle must make a hard decision
In its' 40's
Its' long and flexible talons can no longer grab
prey which serves as food
Its' old-aged and heavy wings, due to their thick feathers
, become stuck to its' chest and make it difficult to fly
Then, the eagle is left with only two options:
die or go through a painful process of change
The process requires that the eagle fly to a
There the eagle knocks its' beak against a rock
until it plucks it out
After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new

ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!
Arthur Ashe, the legendary
which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery
in 1983.
From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which
conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?
To this Arthur Ashe replied:
"The world over –
50 million children start playing tennis,
5 million learn to play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis,
50,000 come to the circuit,
5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach
4 to semi final,
2 to the finals,
When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?' "
"Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you humble and
Success keeps you glowing, but only
Faith & Attitude Keeps you going.........

STROKE:
Remember The 1st Three Steps
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm , Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the party. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some ?don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this...
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally . He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STR OKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR . Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S *Ask the individual to SMILE .
T *Ask the person to TALK , to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently: It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS .
{NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue... if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke}
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency services immediately and describe the symptoms.

Dear All,
A father was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?"
At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
So..
If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.
From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.
They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".
Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.
Thanks for spending
